A Bow For All Occassions
As the hectic summer millinery season starts to wind down and I start googling Autumn Leaves for the new seasons design inspiration, I’ve had chance to re stock our best selling ‘Lucille’ Turban Bow Headbands; and in honour I’ve decided to dedicate a whole post to them!
These are where my love for headgear started; I’d always worn scarves tied around in a bow or turban like a 1940’s housewife (much to mums annoyance at stealing her best scarves – sorry mum) and decided to experiment with sewing the bow in place. This was to eliminate the ‘bad bow days’ when I just couldn’t get the knot to go right!
As it got colder I started to make them out of stretch velvet et voila! The ‘Lucille’ Bow was born!
They’ve proved popular with lots of my customers, and I’m very proud to say I post them to places all around the world! I wear one most days myself and I never get tired of fabric shopping and looking forward to making new bows (mostly so I get to wear them myself!) I’ll be making a lot more as Autumn approaches in different colours and prints, all available online and also in store.
So here’s a little selection of my customers looking FABULOUS in their bows!
